Like the first edition, “Gaudí”, the fountain pens are a tribute to Antoni Gaudí, the architect and best-known representative of the early 20th century Modernist movement of Catalonia, Spain. He is famous for his unique and highly individualistic style characterized by fantastical organic forms inspired by nature. To create his buildings, Gaudí used a wide variety of materials: simple baked clay and stone, ceramics, glass and iron were transformed with astounding effects. The Stipula Casa Milà limited editions capture the essence of one of Gaudí’s most famous buildings through highly refined and meticulous craftsmanship. The pen’s rounded shape gently recalls the building’s lines and style. The unusual color of the resin finish has been created to resemble fine sand on an undulating beach, like the wavy facade of Casa Milà. The clip and bands are handcrafted in solid sterling silver vermeil in matte gold and suggest the distinctive architectural elements of Gaudí’s building. The fountain pens are offered in two styles: a piston-fill version with 14K gold nib is limited to 74 pens; a cartridge/converter model with T-Flex titanium nib is limited to 274 pieces. The 14K gold nib is available in fine, medium and ITALIC MEDIUM points. The T-Flex titanium nib comes in a medium 6mm point only – its flexibility, accuracy and lightness allow you to write with thick and thin strokes making multiple point sizes unnecessary!
